The company has several subsidiaries, such as Optare, a UK-based bus manufacturer, and Ashok Leyland Defence Systems, which focuses on military vehicles and defense solutions. Ashok Leyland operates in over 50 countries, including the UK, UAE, and Sri Lanka. A notable fact about Ashok Leyland is that it is the second-largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India and ranks among the top bus manufacturers globally. The company is a flagship of the Hinduja Group and has focused on expanding its product portfolio through innovation and strategic alliances. Ashok Leyland's popular brands include DOST, Partner, Boss, Mitr, and Captain.
